1- Objectives
This Announcement of Opportunity (AO) is is organised by ESA at the request of the Spanish Space Agency (Agencia Espacial Española – AEE). This AO is dedicated to proposals for Spanish development activities, to be submitted only by Spanish entities, that target scientific space instrumentation and experiments to be developed in the frame of the Spanish requirements for the ESA PRODEX Programme.
2- What type of ideas we are looking for
The objective of this call is to solicit for proposals from Spanish entities to target activities, including payload development, focused on science, to be implemented in the frame of the Spanish PRODEX campaign of 2026.
Activities considered are in the domains of Space science, Exploration science, Earth Observation science, and related domains.
3- Timeline
An indicative timeline for the process is provided below:
- Call publication: 10 July 2026 at 11:00 CEST
- Call briefing to proposers*: 17 July 2026
- Deadline to submit proposals: 16 September 2026 at 23:59 CEST (Madrid Time)
- Notification to proposers (AEE) **: December 2026 - Indicative date depending on the number of proposals to be processed.

- Budget allocation per type of actrivity updated.
